Source Tagging

Source tagging is the process where EAS tags or labels are applied at the source. The supplier, packaging company or manufacturer, instead of the retailer inserts the EAS tag into the packing of the product or attaches it to the product. Source tagging eliminates the labor costs for the retailer needed to apply the EAS tags to the products.  For the supplier the main benefit is the preservation of the retail packaging aesthetics. EAS tags can be integrated or inserted inside the original product packing. Insertion or integration of EAS tags inside the packing makes is difficult for a potential shoplifter to locate or remove the tag.

MTC EAS supplies a full range of source tagging solutions ranging from reusable hard tags for soft goods to disposable labels in all available sizes and technologies.

MTC EAS can arrange and manage the complete logistical process related to source tagging projects. In cooperation with its partner GPS Global Printing Service MTC EAS can arrange the imprint of required information on the tags or labels.
